Introduction
The year is 1935 and America is deep in the Great Depression. President Roosevelt has enacted many New Deal programs including the Works Progress Administration (WPA). You have been hired through the WPA to document the Great Depression and its impact on Americans. The goal of your job is to search the country to find artifacts that represent the Depression. The Depression means different things to different people. Therefore, depending on who you talk to the artifacts that represent them will be different from someone else. Upon finding your artifacts you will report to the WPA headquarters in Washington D.C. to combine your artifacts with others. You will have to explain who the artifact came from and why it is significant to them. The artifacts will then be buried in a time capsule on the grounds of the WPA headquarters to be opened 100 years from its burial.
